International Women\u2019s Day, observed on 6 March, has become an\noccasion for various groups to promote women\u2019s empowerment in Indonesia.\nThis year, Astra Credit Companies (ACC) joined forces with Yayasan\nAstra-Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra (Yayasan Astra) to support\ncapitalization for 20 women-led micro, small and medium enterprises\n(UMKM). Through this collaboration, ACC again strengthens its support\nfor UMKM by disbursing a Rp100 million revolving fund. More than\nfinancial help, the partnership is a concrete step to guide UMKM to\nscale up and contribute more significantly to the national economic\nrecovery.<\/p>\n
\u2018Through synergy with Yayasan Astra, we want to ensure women-owned\nUMKM have a strong capital foundation to move up the value chain. The\nspirit of sustainability is not just about financial assistance, but\nabout building the competitiveness of the businesses in the long term,\u2019\nsaid Frederikus Radix Wikanto, Chief Human Capital Officer of ACC, at\nthe ceremonial event in Jakarta on Friday (6 March 2026).<\/p>\n
The event was also attended by Riadi Prasodjo, EVP Corporate\nCommunication & ESR ACC; Rahmat Samulo, Chair of the Board of\nYayasan Astra-Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra; and Ema Poedjiwati, Secretary\nof the Yayasan Astra-Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra.<\/p>\n
Radix stated that the Rp100 million business fund for 20 UMKM\nnurtured by Yayasan Astra would be provided through a revolving fund\nscheme. The revolving fund is interest-free business capital granted to\nUMKM. After a 12-month period, the funds are returned to be re-dispersed\nto other UMKM in need, thereby creating a sustainable benefit.<\/p>\n
The recipients of the ACC revolving fund are women-owned UMKM\noperating in the culinary or handicrafts sectors, located in Jakarta,\nBogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek).<\/p>\n
In addition to capital support through the revolving fund, these\nwomen-owned UMKM received a workshop themed Digital Marketing for the\nDevelopment of Women\u2019s SMEs, conducted by digital marketing mentor Upit\nFitrianingsih. The aim is to ensure they not only have financial capital\nbut also strategic skills to market their products more broadly in the\ndigital era.<\/p>\n
\u2018The recipients of the business fund are also provided with an SME\ncoaching programme\u2014a private mentoring programme. Participants can\nconsult with experienced mentors in the SME field about business\nissues,\u2019 Radix noted.<\/p>\n
Rahmat Samulo, Chair of Yayasan Astra-Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra,\nappreciated ACC for the collaboration supporting UMKM to keep advancing.\nHe said that launching the second cohort coinciding with International\nWomen\u2019s Day is a concrete demonstration of joint commitment to empower\nwomen in the economic sector, and mothers who run UMKM are not only\nfamily economic drivers but also pillars supporting the nation\u2019s\neconomy.<\/p>\n
\u2018Following the 100% fund repayment rate in the first cohort, the\nprogram now innovates with a monthly instalment scheme so UMKM cash flow\nremains healthy and the burden is lighter,\u2019 he stated.
