        "content": "<p>DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency has implemented traffic diversions\nfollowing a road collapse on Lenteng Agung Raya Road in South Jakarta.\nThe incident occurred near Empang Alley, in front of Alpino Exhaust\nWorkshop.<\/p>\n<p>The measures aim to minimise severe traffic congestion and prioritise\nthe safety of road users in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe understand that community activities have been disrupted by the\nroad collapse. Therefore, traffic management and diversion are being\nimplemented to reduce congestion while ensuring road users\u2019 safety,\u201d\nsaid Acting Head of DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Ujang Hermawan,\nin Jakarta on Friday (29 May).<\/p>\n<p>The closure of two lanes has caused congestion towards Depok and\nsurrounding areas. The agency apologised for the inconvenience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also apologise for the discomfort caused,\u201d Hermawan added.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities urged the public to monitor their travel routes and\ncomply with on-site officers\u2019 instructions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe ask the public to exercise caution when passing the area and use\nalternative routes where possible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic arrangements include:<\/p>\n<p>Two-wheelers: Permitted to use the rightmost lane on Lenteng Agung\nRaya Road. In some cases, diverted via Gardu Road \u2013 H. Shibi IV Road \u2013\nH. Shibi II Road \u2013 H. Shibi Road \u2013 UI Access Road.<\/p>\n<p>Four-wheelers heading to UI\/Depok: Directed to turn around at the\nUniversitas Pancasila Railway Crossing (JPL 23), then proceed via\nLenteng Agung Barat Road \u2013 Kahfi II Road \u2013 Tanah Baru Road \u2013 Depok\nSawangan.<\/p>\n<p>Heavy vehicles (trucks\/buses): Diverted west via Desari Toll Road\nfrom TB Simatupang Junction, or east via Bogor Main Road or Jagorawi\nToll Road.<\/p>\n<p>The road collapse, which began gradually from Wednesday (27 May), was\ninitially mitigated with cold-mix asphalt by the South Jakarta\nSub-District Public Works Office.<\/p>\n<p>The South Jakarta Sub-District Public Works Office is coordinating\nclosely with the South Jakarta Sub-District Water Resources Office to\ndetermine the root cause. It is suspected that underground drainage\nsystem issues triggered the collapse.<\/p>\n<p>The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government confirmed ongoing on-site\nmonitoring to expedite repairs and restore normal traffic flow.\n(Ant\/E-4)<\/p>",
