        "content": "<p>Legislators take Rp 1 billion trip<\/p>\n<p>SEMARANG, Central Java: All 100 members of Central Java's<br>\nprovincial legislature will be making various trips abroad later<br>\nthis month, at a cost of at least one billion rupiah ($434,000).<\/p>\n<p>DPRD speaker Soeparto said the trips are aimed at allowing<br>\nlegislators to study various industrial sites abroad in order to<br>\nhelp set an effective development agenda for Central Java.<\/p>\n<p>Each legislator will be allocated Rp 8 million, with an<br>\nadditional Rp 2 million being contributed by the governor of<br>\nCentral Java, Antara reported.<\/p>\n<p>Soeparto said that each DPRD Commission will visit a different<br>\ncountry to study various fields which will be useful in the<br>\ndevelopment of province.(mds)<\/p>",
