        "content": "<p>Legislators question immigration bill<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: A number of House of Representatives legislators<br>\nquestioned on Tuesday a clause in the new immigration bill that<br>\nrequires the opening of an immigration unit in every Indonesian<br>\nembassy.<\/p>\n<p>They said the establishment of these immigration unit, which<br>\nwould be run by immigration officers, would be too costly and<br>\n\"contradict international convention\".<\/p>\n<p>The House's domestic and legal affairs commission is set to<br>\nstart deliberating the bill, despite the fact that the current<br>\nHouse's term will end on Sept. 30.<\/p>\n<p>House foreign affairs commission members Djoko Susilo and<br>\nYasril Ananta Baharuddin insisted that their commission be<br>\nrepresented during the deliberations, in accordance with a<br>\nrecommendation recently issued by the House leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia has 119 representative offices overseas. -- JP<\/p>",
