        "content": "<p>Legislators check into land dispute<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Members of the House of Representatives<br>\nvisited a disputed three-hectare plot of land in Perigi village,<br>\nTangerang, on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul Samin, spokesman for the land owners, told the House<br>\nmembers from the Indonesian Democratic Party faction, Sabam<br>\nSirait and Popo Sonadar Haroen, that the local residents are the<br>\nlegal owners of the plot also claimed by PT Pembangunan Jaya, the<br>\ndeveloper of the Bintaro Jaya housing complex.<\/p>\n<p>\"We don't have any idea why the developer claims to hold a<br>\nlegal ownership document from the National Land Agency,\" Samin<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>The disputed land is situated in the middle of the satellite<br>\ntown, Bintaro Jaya, which is being developed in Tangerang.<\/p>\n<p>Samin said that previous talks with land affairs authorities,<br>\npolice, and the developer's officers brought no results.<\/p>\n<p>Sirait and Popo promised to accompany the land owners to meet<br>\nwith the developing company's management and other concerned<br>\nparties in order to clarify the matter.
