Jakarta (ANTARA) - House of Representatives member Robert Joppy\nKardinal has stressed the importance of the private sector\u2019s role in\nmaintaining national economic stability amid global turbulence stemming\nfrom geopolitical conflicts and disruptions to the global supply\nchain.<\/p>\n
According to him, collaboration between the government and the\nprivate sector is the key to strengthening the national economy\u2019s\nfundamentals, especially as the world faces prolonged uncertainty.<\/p>\n
The Commission X member of the House of Representatives, in a\nstatement in Jakarta on Thursday, highlighted ongoing global conflicts\nin various regions, including the Middle East, which he assessed as\ndirectly impacting global economic stability.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese wars disrupt the global supply chain. Even after the conflicts\nend, the economic recovery process will not be instantaneous and will\nrequire a long time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In such conditions, he added, the creativity and innovation of\nbusiness actors become determining factors in ensuring they can survive\nand grow amid market pressures.<\/p>\n
Previously, at the opening of Sanwa Group\u2019s latest showroom and\noutlet in the Serpong area of South Tangerang, Banten, he viewed the\ncompany\u2019s expansion as a concrete example of how business actors can\nstill grow and contribute amid global economic pressures.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo matter how small the business that is opened, its impact is very\nsignificant on job absorption. This helps the government keep the wheels\nof the economy turning,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
On that occasion, Robert also appreciated the company\u2019s product\ninnovations, which he deemed environmentally friendly, particularly the\nuse of aluminium materials as a substitute for wood in doors and\nwindows, thereby helping to reduce dependence on wood and ultimately\npreserving forests and ecology.<\/p>\n
He assessed that such innovative products have the potential to enter\ngovernment strategic programmes, such as the ongoing three million\nhouses construction initiative.<\/p>\n
With the global economy still volatile, Robert emphasised that\nsynergy between the government and the private sector must continue to\nbe strengthened so that the national economy remains resilient.<\/p>\n
He is optimistic that with the right collaboration and sustainable\ninnovation, the private sector will become the main driver in\nmaintaining Indonesia\u2019s economic growth amid global pressures.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Sanwa Group Director Patricia L stated that the opening of\nthe outlet in Serpong not only aims to expand the market but also to\ncreate more job opportunities for communities in various regions.<\/p>\n
According to her, the products offered at the outlet are closely\nlinked to national development programmes, particularly in the housing\nsector.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope to contribute to government programmes, including the\nmillions of houses construction, by providing quality and efficient\nmaterials,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
