Hasanuddin Wahid, does not object to the involvement of the TNI\nin preparing prospective recipients of scholarships from the Indonesia\nEndowment Fund for Education (LPDP), as long as no rules are\nviolated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf involving the TNI is done without breaching regulations and its\nfunction and purpose are effective in boosting patriotism among all our\nstudents and pupils, in my view, it\u2019s perfectly fine,\u201d said Hasanuddin\nWahid when met at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on\nMonday.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, one of the values that needs to be instilled in\nLPDP scholarship recipients, especially those continuing their studies\nabroad, is the spirit of love for the homeland or patriotism.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, as long as the activity is supported by a rational\nbackground, clear objectives, and does not violate regulations,\nHasanuddin assesses that there is no significant issue.<\/p>\n<p>This legislator, who handles matters of finance and national\ndevelopment planning, also believes that the involvement of the TNI in\nLPDP preparation will not require a large budget.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo create love for the homeland and nation, spending a budget is\nreasonable because the objective is clear, right, to enhance patriotism.\nUnless this is a frivolous activity, ineffective, just for the sectoral\nego of one or two institutions, then we would consider it,\u201d he\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Air Force is providing training to prospective LPDP\nscholarship recipients at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in East Jakarta\non Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe programme is attended by prospective scholarship recipients and\nLPDP scholarship recipients at the Master\u2019s (S2) and Doctoral (S3)\nlevels, both for domestic and overseas studies, as part of preparation\nbefore entering the study period,\u201d I Nyoman told ANTARA.<\/p>\n<p>This training programme is being held from Monday until Saturday\n(9\/5). During the training, the Air Force provides materials related to\nstrengthening mental readiness, discipline, leadership, love for the\nhomeland, and character building.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe material providers come from various government agencies,\nincluding personnel from Halim Air Base who are asked to fill in\naccording to requests,\u201d explained I Nyoman.<\/p>\n<p>With this training, the Air Force hopes that LPDP scholarship\nrecipients will have a high sense of love for the homeland so that the\nknowledge they acquire can be used for the progress of the nation.<\/p>",
