        "content": "<p>The development of the Legislative and Judicial Complex in the\nNusantara Capital (IKN) is targeted for completion in 2027\u20132028. This\nproject includes the construction of main state institution buildings as\nwell as supporting infrastructure and area roads.<\/p>\n<p>In the legislative area, the development is planned to include five\nmain buildings, namely the Plenary Building, DPR Building, DPD Building,\nand MPR Building. The Plenary Building will serve as the centre of\nactivities with a capacity of up to 1,579 people.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, stated that the\nprocess of refining the design is currently awaiting approval from\nPresident Prabowo Subianto. In addition, the construction of area roads\nspanning 3.7 km is being prepared to support connectivity between\nbuildings. The initial stage of land clearing has been carried out.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the development of the judicial area is divided into two\nwork packages. The first package covers the construction of the Supreme\nCourt Building along with supporting areas and the Justice Plaza. The\nsecond package includes the construction of the Constitutional Court\nBuilding, judicial areas, and a mosque. The entire area is equipped with\nthe construction of area roads spanning 8 km.<\/p>\n<p>Basuki emphasised that the development of both areas remains a\npriority despite the ongoing budget efficiency policy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe development of the judicial and legislative institution\ncomplexes is not included in the efficiency measures. Construction will\ncontinue, so there is no need to doubt,\u201d Basuki said in his official\nstatement on Sunday, 12 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Basuki revealed that water infrastructure is also being strengthened\nthrough the construction of reservoirs and retention ponds, including\nthe EC-08 reservoir and TR01 retention pond. Drinking water pipeline\nnetworks are also under construction and will be integrated through the\nMulti-Utility Tunnel (MUT) to support the IKN KIPP area.<\/p>\n<p>The IKN Authority began the physical construction of the judicial,\nlegislative, and office complex areas simultaneously in December 2025.\nThis construction is carried out through a multi-year contract scheme\nworth Rp 20 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>At that time, Basuki stated that his side had signed eight contract\npackages to accelerate the second phase of development in early December\n2025.
