        "content": "<p>The legal team for Sleman Regional House of Representatives (DPRD)\nmember Raudi Akmal (RA) has protested the Sleman District Attorney\u2019s\nOffice\u2019s (Kejari Sleman) decision to immediately detain their client\nafter he was named a suspect in an alleged corruption case involving\ntourism grants for Sleman Regency in 2020, on Monday evening\n(22\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Raudi\u2019s legal counsel, Soepriyadi, stated the detention was carried\nout when his client\u2019s health had not fully recovered. He said the\nresults of a medical examination from the Sleman Regional General\nHospital (RSUD Sleman) indicated his client was ill and not fit to\nundergo coercive measures such as detention.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, during the examination, Raudi\u2019s blood pressure\nreached 150, and he was still in a recovery period after undergoing\nhospital treatment several days prior. \u2018The doctor at RSUD Sleman stated\nthat he (RA) was ill and it was not possible to perform any action or\ncoercive measure. His condition is also still recovering because he was\ndischarged from the hospital around three to four days ago,\u2019 Soepriyadi\ntold reporters at the Sleman District Attorney\u2019s Office on Monday\nevening.<\/p>\n<p>He questioned the prosecution\u2019s decision to then request a\nre-examination at the Kejari Sleman\u2019s internal clinic. According to\nSoepriyadi, despite the examination showing the same blood pressure\nresults, the clinic\u2019s doctor declared Raudi healthy and fit to be\ndetained. The legal team deemed this condition anomalous. \u2018How can a\nblood pressure of 150 be declared healthy? What is going on here? Is\nthere an intention to force the detention?\u2019 he said. \u2018We see that the\nSleman District Attorney\u2019s Office is disregarding our client\u2019s human\nrights. How can a sick person be forced into detention with the alibi of\na clinic doctor saying he is healthy? That is not right. That is my\ncriticism. That is my opinion,\u2019 he added.<\/p>",
