However, as technology advanced and\ncompetition intensified, Motorola\u2019s glory gradually eroded.<\/p>\n<p>Samsung emerged as the king of the new foldable phone era, with\ninnovation in a truly foldable display rather than just a folding frame\nlike the Motorola RAZR V3 and other flip phones from the older era.<\/p>\n<p>However, Motorola is slowly rising from the ashes and solidifying its\nposition in the foldable phone market. Ahead of the launch of the Razr\nFold, the company has begun dominating the foldable phone market in the\nUnited States and Latin America.<\/p>\n<p>IDC reported that Motorola holds 50% of the foldable phone market in\nthe US. The brand outperforms companies that entered the foldable phone\nmarket earlier, such as Samsung and Google.<\/p>\n<p>Positive achievements are not limited to the US alone. The same\nreport mentions Motorola controls 55% market share in Latin America and\n13% in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, overall Motorola has a total foldable phone market share\nof 14%, according to 9to5Google, on Friday (13 March 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Although performing well, Motorola also faces serious challenges. One\nis Apple, which is reportedly set to release its first foldable phone\nsoon, as well as longstanding competitors such as Samsung and\nHonour.<\/p>\n<p>The Razr Fold is a book-shaped foldable device that reportedly uses\nthe Snapdragon 8 Generation 5 chipset. Its battery is sized at 6,000 mAh\nwith 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.<\/p>\n<p>The device\u2019s front display measures 6.6 inches and the inner display\n8.1 inches. There are 32MP front cameras and 20MP cameras on the outer\nand inner sides of the phone.<\/p>\n<p>The main rear camera consists of a 50MP Sony LYTIA sensor, a 50MP\nultrawide lens, and a 3x telephoto camera at 50MP.<\/p>\n<p>The foldable device will be launched with a stylus pen and is priced\nat around \u20ac1,999 (approximately IDR 38.9 million).
