Lebaran traveler robbed<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A man, who just come back from his home village
\nin Kebumen regency, Central Java to celebrate Idul Fitri, was
\nrobbed on Monday by three men who made off with an unspecified
\nsum of banknotes, a necklace, clothes and sandals.<\/p>\n
First Lt. Nelson Purba of the Menteng police precinct said on
\nSaturday Sakimun, 22, who had just arrived at Cikini railway
\nstation and was waiting for a bus in front of the Proklamator
\nBuilding, Jl Proklamasi Central Jakarta, was approached by three
\nmen armed with a knife and two machetes. "The men then threatened
\nSakimun, saying they would kill him unless he handed over his
\nbelongings to them," Purba explained.<\/p>\n
The victim suffered a loss of Rp 1.09 million (US$477).<\/p>\n
Sakimun, who is a resident of Jl. Kali Pasir Kebon Sirih
\nCentral Jakarta, immediately reported the robbery to the Menteng
\npolice precinct.<\/p>\n
The police acted swiftly and managed to catch two of the
\nrobbers, later identified as Armand alias Amir and Rosid. Armand
\nand Rosid and the third man, who managed to escape, were counting
\nthe stolen money near Cikini railway station when a group of
\npolice officers arrived at the scene.<\/p>\n
Officer Purba said it was just a matter of time before the
\nthird man is arrested, adding that his whereabouts are known to
