        "content": "<p>Qurban is seen as vital for strengthening social solidarity amid\neconomic pressures affecting parts of society. Beyond its role in Eid\nal-Adha worship, the distribution of sacrificial meat helps sustain\ncommunal spirit and mutual care among communities.<\/p>\n<p>This was stated during the 1447 AH Qurban Distribution Programme,\nheld simultaneously across five administrative regions of Jakarta by the\nJakarta Provincial Chapter of the Indonesian Islamic Dakwah Council\n(LDII) on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>LDII Jakarta Provincial Chapter Deputy Chair Muhammad Ied said the\nQurban initiative is an opportunity to reinforce social compassion\nwithin communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough the Qurban Distribution Programme in Jakarta, we aim to\nfoster mutual care, especially within local neighbourhoods,\u201d Ied stated\non Wednesday, 27 May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He added that this year\u2019s Qurban activities demonstrate continued\ncommunity generosity despite the economy not yet fully recovered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlhamdulillah, despite economic challenges, the Qurban Distribution\nProgramme has been successfully carried out. We hope its benefits reach\nthe community, particularly in surrounding areas,\u201d Ied said.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta\u2019s Head of the Food Security, Marine, and Agriculture\nDepartment (KPKP), Hasudungan A Sidabalok, said the distribution of\nQurban meat aids in the equitable distribution of animal protein\nconsumption among the public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis significantly contributes to equitable animal protein\nconsumption and enhances food security in Jakarta\u2019s communities,\u201d\nSidabalok said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that slaughter procedures are monitored to ensure the\ndistributed meat is safe for public consumption.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope the Qurban meat provided to the public is truly safe,\nhealthy, intact, and halal,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
