        "content": "<p>LBH answers military charges<\/p>\n<p>SURABAYA, East Java: The local chapter of the Indonesian Legal<br>\nAid Foundation (LBH), threatened by a military lawsuit for<br>\nslander, is calling for an improvement in worker welfare.<\/p>\n<p>LBH director Indro Sugiarto reminded Commander of the<br>\nBrawijaya Military Command Maj. Gen. Imam Utomo that the military<br>\nshould consider the political effects of the planned lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>\"He should be brave (enough to risk) the political effects of<br>\nthe lawsuit,\" he was quoted by Antara as saying. \"The most<br>\nimportant thing is (not the lawsuit but the) improvement of the<br>\nworkers' situation.\"<\/p>\n<p>The foundation last week accused the military of using<br>\nviolence in dispersing a recent labor protest in the town of<br>\nJombang.
