        "content": "<p>Lawyers for blast suspects<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Police have appointed a legal defense team for<br>\nthe seven suspects in the April 19 blast at the Istiqlal Grand<br>\nMosque, an officer said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have appointed a team for them and they (the suspects)<br>\nagreed with our choice,\" city police detectives chief Col. Alex<br>\nBambang Riatmodjo said.<\/p>\n<p>The six-member team is from BKPW, a foundation of retired<br>\npolice officers, he said.<\/p>\n<p>The police officially named the seven street musicians on<br>\nMonday as suspects, but immediately apologized for missing<br>\ndetails in linking the men to the crime.<\/p>\n<p>Officers admitted they were unable to directly connect the<br>\nsuspects to the alleged architect of the plot.<\/p>\n<p>They said that the mastermind and his accomplices carefully<br>\ndevised their scheme to avoid face-to-face contact with the<br>\nsuspects.<\/p>\n<p>The seven have acknowledged their roles in the blast and<br>\nreenacted their actions during the crime.(emf)<\/p>",
