        "content": "<p>Commission VII DPR member Bambang Haryo Soekartono (BHS) stated that\nindustry is a strategic sector capable of being the primary engine of\nnational economic growth. The Ministry of Industry is even targeting\nindustrial growth of 7.55 percent to support the 8 percent national\neconomic growth target under President Prabowo\u2019s administration.\nHowever, BHS noted that the industrial sector\u2019s budget has declined\ncompared to five years ago. In 2023, the ministry\u2019s budget was recorded\nat Rp 4.530 trillion, but the projection for 2027 has fallen to Rp 2.01\ntrillion. \u201cIn fact, the 8 percent economic growth target emphasised by\nPresident Prabowo must be supported by an increase in national\nindustrial capacity, including a significant increase in employment\nabsorption,\u201d BHS said in Jakarta on Thursday. According to BHS, the\ntarget growth of 7.55 percent in the manufacturing industry\u2019s Gross\nDomestic Product certainly requires adequate budget support. The budget\nis needed to drive industrial growth, accelerate downstreaming, enhance\nnational competitiveness, and create greater added value for the\neconomy. \u201cWith very minimal budget conditions, these targets will be\ndifficult to achieve,\u201d BHS said. In comparison with Malaysia, he added,\nthe national budget there is only around Rp 1,974 trillion.<\/p>",
