PT Industri Kereta Api (Persero), known as INKA, has revealed the\nlatest progress regarding the general check-up of KRL iE305\/CLI-225\ntrainsets. Currently, one trainset has entered the final stage of\ninspection and is targeted for completion within this week.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the remaining six trainsets are still undergoing the\noverhaul process in Depok and Manggarai. The inspection of these units\nis expected to be completed gradually.<\/p>\n
Nanang Agung Rohmandiyas, Senior Manager of Corporate Communications\nat PT INKA, stated that the inspections are being conducted to ensure\nsafety and reliability aspects of the rolling stock before they return\nto passenger service.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe apologise for the inconvenience caused by the general check-up,\nwhich has disrupted the mobility of KRL users. Currently, one trainset\nis in the final stage of inspection, while six trainsets are still\nundergoing checks and will be completed gradually. Our focus is to\nensure that all aspects related to the safety and reliability of the\nrolling stock are in optimal condition,\u201d Nanang said in a statement,\nquoted on Thursday (17\/09\/2026).<\/p>\n
Once the entire inspection process is complete and the safety and\nreliability of the rolling stock are confirmed to be optimal, INKA will\nreturn the trainsets to KAI Commuter. The timing and operational\npatterns of the trainsets in passenger service remain under the\nauthority of KAI Commuter as the operator.<\/p>\n
INKA ensures that the general check-up process is carried out\ngradually, prioritising safety, reliability, and the readiness of the\nrolling stock before it is redeployed for service.<\/p>\n
Regarding the delivery of Trainset 9, INKA is continuing the\ntransport of Trainset 9 (TS 9) from Banyuwangi to Madiun. On Wednesday\n(16\/09\/2026), the final four carriages of the total 12 carriages were\ndispatched via Bulusan Port, Banyuwangi.<\/p>\n
With this shipment, all 12 carriages of TS 9 have entered the\ndistribution process to Madiun. Upon arrival in Madiun, TS 9 will\nproceed to the inspection and testing stages in accordance with the\nestablished processes.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe first four carriages used a combination of land and rail routes\nvia Probolinggo, while the next eight carriages were sent via Bulusan\nPort. This scheme was prepared to ensure that distribution remains\neffective while adhering to government regulations regarding Over\nDimension and Over Load (ODOL) vehicles,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to Nanang, the sea route is being used as an alternative\nbecause the products being shipped have specific dimensions and handling\nrequirements.<\/p>\n
