        "content": "<p>The Attorney General\u2019s Office (AGO) has officially named seven\nindividuals as suspects in the alleged criminal corruption case\nconcerning the procurement of crude oil and refinery products at PT\nPertamina Energy Trading Limited (PETRAL) from 2008 to 2015, which is a\ndevelopment of the crude oil governance case. This determination was\nannounced by the Head of the AGO\u2019s Legal Information Centre, Anang\nSupriatna, during a press conference at the AGO headquarters in South\nJakarta on Thursday evening (9\/4\/2026). \u201cAs we know, the AGO\nprosecutorial team elevated the PETRAL case to investigation status in\nOctober 2025. In its development, the prosecutorial team has conducted a\nseries of in-depth, professional, accountable investigative actions,\nwhile upholding the principles of caution and the presumption of\ninnocence,\u201d stated Anang. \u201cAnd from the collection of evidence\navailable, including witness statements, documentary and electronic\nevidence, as well as expert opinions, tonight, on 9 April 2026, seven\nsuspects have been named,\u201d he continued. Director of Investigation for\nthe Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi,\nexplained that during the 2008-2015 period, there were procurements of\ncrude oil and refinery products at PT Pertamina. According to him, the\ninvestigative team found facts of actions involving leaks of internal\nconfidential information from Pertamina Energy Services (PES) regarding\ncrude oil and gasoline needs, as well as other information, carried out\nby one of the suspects. To accommodate the interests of MRC and IRW,\nSyarief continued, in June 2012, suspects BBG, AGS, NRT, and MLY issued\nguidelines that contradicted the minutes of the Pertamina board meeting.\nAfter the tender process was conducted in various ways, PES, assisted by\ncompany YR, proceeded to sign an MoU when including refinery products\nfor 2012-2014.<\/p>",
