        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has determined\nthat PLN electricity tariffs for the period July to September 2026 will\nnot increase. The decision was taken to maintain national economic\nstability amid dynamic global conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia stated that\nthe policy represents the government\u2019s commitment to preserving public\npurchasing power. Additionally, the unchanged tariffs are expected to\nsupport the competitiveness of the industrial sector and provide\ncertainty for business actors.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018In order to maintain public purchasing power and support national\neconomic stability, the government has decided that electricity tariffs\nfor the Third Quarter of 2026 will remain unchanged,\u2019 Bahlil explained\nin an official statement.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources\nRegulation Number 7 of 2024, tariff adjustments for 13 non-subsidised\ncustomer groups are actually carried out every three months based on\nchanges in four macroeconomic parameters: the rupiah exchange rate, the\nIndonesian Crude Price (ICP), inflation, and the Reference Coal Price\n(HBA).<\/p>\n<p>For the third quarter of 2026, the parameters used are the\nrealisations from the February-April 2026 period, which recorded an\nexchange rate of Rp16,959.32 per US dollar, an ICP of US$96.12 per\nbarrel, inflation of 0.21 percent, and an HBA of US$70 per tonne, in\naccordance with the Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) coal policy.<\/p>\n<p>Although the formula indicated potential tariff changes, the\ngovernment decided to maintain electricity tariffs to preserve national\neconomic stability.<\/p>\n<p>Bahlil added that, in addition to non-subsidised customers, this\npolicy also applies to 24 subsidised customer groups, which are also\nconfirmed to experience no change in electricity tariffs. These include\nsocial customers, low-income households, small businesses, and Micro,\nSmall, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The government is committed to providing reliable, affordable, and\nequitable electricity.
