        "content": "<p>Large groups promise partnership with small-medium enterprises<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Fifty large Indonesian business groups have<br>\nvoiced their readiness to join the so-called Jimbaran Club in<br>\nfostering partnerships with small and medium enterprises,<br>\nMinister of Cooperatives and Small Enterprises Subiakto<br>\nTjakrawerdaya said.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The owners of the 50 groups have wanted to meet us to talk<br>\nabout partnerships. We will examine their ability and commitment<br>\ntowards nurturing small businesses,&quot; Subiakto said after<br>\nattending Monday&apos;s ministerial coordination meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Subiakto declined to disclose the names of the 50 groups which<br>\nwant help develop small businesses and cooperatives, saying he<br>\nwould reveal their identities only after they had made<br>\nsignificant commitments.<\/p>\n<p>The Jimbaran Club currently comprises of more than 40 large<br>\nbusiness groups, including the Astra, Bakrie, Barito, Ciputra,<br>\nDharmala, Djajanti, Gemala, Humpuss, Lippo, Napan, Salim,<br>\nSoedarpo and Sandratex groups.<\/p>\n<p>In an informal meeting in Jimbaran, Bali, last year, the<br>\ngroups pledged their commitment towards helping small businesses<br>\nthrough various programs, including partnerships, worth Rp 2.9<br>\ntrillion (US$1.23 billion).<\/p>\n<p>Subiakto said the realization of those commitments has been<br>\ntoo slow because &quot;some executives of business groups involved in<br>\nJimbaran have not yet attended Pancasila workshops&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>He announced that the government was planning to hold a<br>\nworkshop on Pancasila -- Indonesia&apos;s five guiding philosophical<br>\nprinciples -- for executives of Jimbaran&apos;s business groups to<br>\nfacilitate the implementation of their partnership commitments.<\/p>\n<p>The government has already conducted similar activities for<br>\nbusiness leaders involved in the Jimbaran Club.
