Landslide delays train departure<\/p>\n

Trains were delayed for up to four hours on Thursday, due to a
\nlandslide on the border of Ciganea and Sukatani, West Java, about
\n113 kilometers west of Bandung.<\/p>\n
At least five trains all traveling on Bandung and Jakarta
\nroutes were delayed on Thursday due to the landslide, said
\nSukendar Mulya, spokesman of state railway company PT Kereta Api
\nIndonesia (PT KAI), in Bandung.<\/p>\n
Sukendar said the landslide, which occurred at dawn on
\nThursday, covered the railway tracks with rocks and soil.<\/p>\n
Employees of PT KAI discovered the debris and worked quickly
\nto remove it from the tracks.<\/p>\n
Railway operations resumed at 8.29 a.m. Sukendar told West
\nJava Governor Danny Setiawan, who visited the train station in
\nBandung.<\/p>\n
In order to prevent possible landslides, the West Java
\nadministration would soon send heavy machinery, including
\nexcavators, to some landslide-prone areas near railway lines in
\nthe province, Danny said.<\/p>\n
The government has allocated Rp 10 billion (US$1 million) for
\npossible natural disasters during the Idul Fitri holiday.<\/p>",
