        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - A landslide on the railway line between Maswati and\nSasaksaat in West Bandung Regency has impacted train services on the\nJakarta-Bandung route on Wednesday (1\/4\/2026). The incident resulted in\nthe cancellation of several train journeys, while others experienced\ndelays. \u201cThe impact of the landslide on the railway line in the Bandung\nBarat area is within the operational area of Daerah Operasi 2 Bandung,\u201d\nsaid Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo,\nwhen contacted by Kompas.com on Wednesday. Additionally, one journey\nfrom Bandung to Jakarta was cancelled due to the landslide, namely KA\nParahyangan number 139 scheduled to depart at 19.25 WIB. Several other\ntrain journeys also faced delays, as follows: Passengers on both trains\nwere redirected to alternative modes of transport. Passengers on KA\nSerayu were transferred to buses heading to Jakarta, while passengers on\nKA Papandayan were transferred to the Whoosh high-speed train.\nFurthermore, KAI has opened options for ticket cancellations for\naffected passengers, either through the app or at station counters.\nEarlier, the KA Ciremai 174 derailed after the locomotive hit landslide\nmaterial blocking the track on Wednesday afternoon. The incident\noccurred on the Maswati-Sasaksaat (MSI-SKT) section, specifically in\nKampung Galudra, Mandalasari Village, Cikalongwetan Subdistrict, West\nBandung Regency (KBB), West Java, around 14.53 WIB. Moments before the\nincident, the Cikalongwetan and Cipatat areas experienced heavy rain,\ncausing landslides at several points. \u201cOne of them was the landslide on\nthe railway crossing. The material blocked the tracks, and shortly\nafter, the train entered and hit the landslide,\u201d said Chiko. The KA\nCiremai that derailed was a train heading from Purwakarta to Bandung.\n\u201cThe landslide point is a few metres from the tunnel. So, it was just a\nfew metres before the train entered the Sasaksaat tunnel,\u201d added Chiko.\n\u201cThere were no fatalities or serious injuries in this incident.
