        "content": "<p>Land slide buries nine<\/p>\n<p>PEMALANG, Central Java: A landslide triggered by heavy rains<br>\nkilled one person, buried nine others alive and seriously injured<br>\nthree here Tuesday, a press report said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened at 2.30 p.m. when the slopes of Mount<br>\nKupit crumbled, sending massive quantities of dirt and gravel<br>\nspiraling down toward Karang hamlet in the pounding rain, Antara<br>\nreported.<\/p>\n<p>As of yesterday afternoon search and rescue workers had<br>\ndiscovered only one body and another survivor, who was in coma.<br>\nThe continuing downpour hampered the search for the other<br>\nvictims, Pemalang regency government spokesman Mulyono said.<\/p>\n<p>Among the nine buried alive were a 5-year-old boy and a<br>\npregnant 18-year-old woman, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Central Java governor Soewardi and regent Soewartono visited<br>\nthe ill-fated hamlet and delivered relief aid yesterday.
