        "content": "<p>Land for forest squatters<\/p>\n<p>DONGGALA, Central Sulawesi: In effort to save the environment,<br>\nthe Donggala regency administration in Central Sulawesi has made<br>\na total of 1,200 hectares of land available for 1,030 people<br>\nsquatting in Dongidongi, an area in the protected Lore Lindu<br>\nNational Park.<\/p>\n<p>Donggala regent Nabi Bidja said on Tuesday that the squatters<br>\nmust leave the park vicinity this year.<\/p>\n<p>The plot at the Ntongoa valley would only be given to those<br>\nwho don't have any land, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\"I have instructed the regency Land Agency to carefully select<br>\nsquatters whom will be given land. Those who have land will not<br>\nget a new plot.\"<\/p>\n<p>The squatters claim to be the heirs of the Dongidongi<br>\nancestral land.<\/p>\n<p>Regent Nabi said, however, that all the squatters were<br>\nresidents of Donggala. \"Administratively the people belong to<br>\nDonggala regency, while the Dongidongi land is located in the<br>\nPoso regency. Donggala administration is obliged to find new land<br>\nfor them.\"<\/p>\n<p>Nabi said that stern measures would be taken against those who<br>\nresisted the order to leave Dongidongi. \"I have asked Donggala<br>\nand Central Sulawesi Provincial Police to take firm action<br>\nagainst stubborn squatters.\"<\/p>\n<p>C.
