'Lampung Pos' office attacked<\/p>\n
BANDARLAMPUNG, Lampung: Dozens of people attacked the office
\nof Lampung Pos daily on Thursday, apparently incensed by an
\nerroneous news item, Antara reported.<\/p>\n
The mob almost hit chief editor Bambang Eka Wijaya. They
\nreportedly arrived in three hired buses.<\/p>\n
The attackers decried an article which reported a home was
\nguarded by a particular youth organization. They demanded a
\nretraction, contending the house was guarded by another
\norganization. The mob's affiliation was unclear although they
\nsaid they came to support the house owner.<\/p>\n
Reporters said no misidentification occurred.<\/p>\n
A security guard was hit and sustained minor injuries to his
\nlips, the agency reported.<\/p>\n
Damage to the office was minor, but a glass table and pots
\nwere smashed.<\/p>\n
The leader of the group, Andi Amir, said they had earlier
\nrequested a correction through two phone calls to editors, but it
\nwas not forthcoming.<\/p>",
