The Lampung Provincial Government is improving road access and\nensuring land readiness to support the acceleration of the Lampung Raya\nWaste-to-Energy (PSEL) National Strategic Project.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe main focus of this development is to ensure land maturation and\nimprove the access road to the PSEL project site in Purwotani Village,\nJati Agung, so that all stages proceed according to the schedule set by\nthe central government,\u201d said Lampung Provincial Secretary Marindo\nKurniawan in Bandarlampung on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
He stated this is a form of acceleration for the Lampung Raya PSEL\ndevelopment, which is planned to be fully operational by the fourth\nquarter of 2028. \u201cWe are ensuring that land maturation will be realised\nsoon with budget allocation support, as this is the main key before the\ngroundbreaking in December,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He explained that as a concrete step, the Lampung Provincial\nGovernment will intervene in the budget through the Revised Regional\nBudget to ensure land maturation can be carried out immediately.\nAdditionally, the construction of a 1.7-kilometre access road to the\nproject site is targeted to begin early next year.<\/p>\n
\u201cDanantara, as the project companion, emphasised that the\ngroundbreaking target in December 2026 is an absolute prerequisite for\nachieving the operational target. To support this, land provision and\naccess road improvements are crucial points that the regional government\nmust resolve in the coming months,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Regarding the supply of raw waste materials, the regional government\nhas mapped out the supply chain system from the agglomerated regencies\nand cities, namely Bandarlampung City, South Lampung Regency, and East\nLampung Regency. The provincial government will soon assign the\nEnvironmental Agency to manage the transportation pattern so that the\nwaste supply target of 1,168 tonnes per day can be met sustainably.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe implementation of PSEL is expected to have a significant impact\non the people of Lampung, especially in thoroughly and environmentally\nresolving the problem of waste accumulation. Furthermore, this project\nwill strengthen regional energy independence through the utilisation of\nwaste into electricity, which is in line with the sustainable\ndevelopment vision in Lampung Province,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
To ensure the project\u2019s success, the developer has also committed to\nabsorbing local workers in its operations. Local workers are targeted to\ndominate up to 90 percent when the project is fully operational, and\nthey will be equipped with special training programmes to ensure\nknowledge and technology transfer.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Cooperation Agreement between the winning business\nentity and the regional government will soon be finalised.
