        "content": "<p>Workers must possess the ability to adapt and continuously develop to\nface changes<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Labour Minister (Menaker) Yassierli has urged\nworkers to prepare for technological changes, including the development\nof artificial intelligence (AI), so that they can enhance their\ncompetitiveness and remain relevant in the world of work.<\/p>\n<p>In his statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, the Minister said that the\nlevel of AI usage in Indonesia is still below the global average. This\ncondition serves as a signal that the world of work is changing rapidly\nand Indonesia must not be late in preparing its workforce.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe key is not only in the technology itself, but in how we equip\nhuman resources (HR) to be ready. Workers must have the ability to adapt\nand continuously develop to face changes,\u201d said Yassierli.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the current challenges in the world of work are no\nlonger limited to protecting normative rights, but also ensuring that\nworkers have adequate competencies to remain relevant amid technological\nchanges.<\/p>\n<p>In that context, the Minister assessed that trade unions need to take\na more strategic role. Not only present when work relationship issues\narise, but also actively prepare workers to face technological\ndevelopments, including AI.<\/p>\n<p>This strengthening, he continued, can be implemented through\nCollective Work Agreements (PKB) between companies and workers, as done\nrecently by PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT) and the Workers\u2019 Union of\nthe Harmony of Employees of PT Pupuk Kaltim.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister also hopes that the recently signed PKB not only creates\nstability but also serves as an instrument to encourage improvements in\nworkers\u2019 competencies to prepare for future challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur,\nGusrizal, stated that this VIII PKB is expected to provide legal\ncertainty for all parties while strengthening harmonious, dynamic, and\nfair industrial relations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope that this ratification provides legal certainty for all\nparties in carrying out work relations, while creating harmonious,\ndynamic, and fair industrial relations to support the continuity of PKT\nand improve collective welfare,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
