        "content": "<p>Labelization of food items<\/p>\n<p>From Pikiran Rakyat<\/p>\n<p>I read in the news that labelization of every food item would<br>\nhave to be legalized according to the principles of the Moslem<br>\nCouncil of Ulemas (MUI). Being a Moslem, this is good news and I<br>\nwould like to express my gratitude to all contributing parties<br>\nfor their food labeling efforts of products on sale in<br>\nsupermarkets and department stores.<\/p>\n<p>We are rejoicing because we no longer harbor any qualms when<br>\nwe purchase tinned food, even though only the producers know how<br>\npure its contents really are.<\/p>\n<p>I plead with all Moslems to only consume labeled food and stop<br>\npurchasing unlabeled products, which does not guarantee contents<br>\nare halal, or allowed under Islamic law. We are responsible to<br>\nthe Almighty if we consume food which is haram or not allowed.<\/p>\n<p>ANWAR SANUSI<\/p>\n<p>Bandung<\/p>",
