        "content": "<p>Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) Maman\nAbdurrahman has invited micro, small, and medium enterprise (UMKM)\noperators in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to optimally utilise the People\u2019s\nBusiness Credit (KUR) programme as a lever for business development.<\/p>\n<p>The invitation was delivered by Maman when opening the Socialisation\nand Mass KUR Agreement for East Nusa Tenggara Province in Labuan Bajo on\nTuesday (28\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the utilisation of KUR must be accompanied by\ndisciplined use of funds, good business management, and innovation to\nexpand markets.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasised that the socialisation and mass agreement activity is a\nstrategic step to expand the reach of KUR while encouraging increased\nfinancing access for UMKM.<\/p>\n<p>Such efforts, he said, are in line with the target proportion of\nbanking financing of 25 percent for UMKM.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis momentum is an effort to accelerate the realisation of the 2026\nKUR disbursement target, while strengthening synergy between the\ngovernment and financial institutions in supporting UMKM financing,\u201d\nsaid Maman.<\/p>\n<p>The quality of disbursements is also said to continue improving. This\nis reflected in 63.12 percent of KUR that has been channelled to the\nproduction sector, which has long been the government\u2019s focus to\nstrengthen business capacity and productivity of UMKM operators.<\/p>\n<p>At the regional level, KUR disbursements in East Nusa Tenggara\nProvince have reached Rp 898 billion to more than 19,000 UMKM\noperators.<\/p>\n<p>This achievement shows that financing access in NTT continues to\ndevelop, amid the region\u2019s substantial economic potential, including as\none of the national premier tourism destinations that opens\nopportunities for UMKM development and integration into the global\nmarket.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, a KUR Financing Cooperation Agreement (PKP) was\nsigned between the Ministry of UMKM as the Authorised User of the KUR\nBudget and PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Nusa Tenggara Timur as the KUR\ndistributor.<\/p>\n<p>Maman appreciated the readiness of Bank NTT, which can once again\ndisburse KUR worth around Rp 350 billion, after previously not\ndisbursing.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the role of banks is not limited to disbursing\nfinancing, but also needs to be strengthened through business mentoring\nand improving financial literacy for customers.<\/p>",
