Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Hajj Office (KUH) in Jeddah stated\nit is continuing coordination with travel agencies and Saudi Arabian\nauthorities to ensure umrah pilgrims stranded due to regional escalation\ncan return home quickly without bearing additional costs.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are continuing to seek the best solutions through intensive\ncoordination with various parties, so pilgrims can return to their\nhomeland safely and comfortably,\u201d said Ilham Effendy, Technical Staff\nfor Hajj at the Jeddah Indonesian Hajj Office, in a statement in Jakarta\non Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Ilham stated that KUH Jeddah is facilitating communication and\ncoordination with airlines, travel organisers, and relevant authorities\nto assist the smooth process of pilgrims\u2019 return.<\/p>\n
Several umrah participants have experienced flight rescheduling,\nparticularly those with transit packages to several countries in the\nregion. Some have also experienced flight cancellations.<\/p>\n
Previously, the Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah urged\nprospective umrah pilgrims scheduled to depart to the Holy Land in the\nnear future to postpone their departure due to increasingly dynamic and\nuncertain security conditions in West Asia.<\/p>\n
Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak emphasised\nthat this appeal represents the government\u2019s caution in ensuring the\nsafety of its citizens.<\/p>\n
\u201cConsidering the unstable Middle Eastern conditions and escalating\ntensions, we urge umrah pilgrims scheduled to depart in the near future\nto postpone their departure,\u201d said the Deputy Minister.<\/p>\n
