        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Kuala Tanjung\u2013Tebing Tinggi\u2013Parapat Section\n1\u20134 toll road (Kuala Tanjung\u2013Pematang Siantar) experienced the highest\nincrease in vehicle traffic on the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) during\nthe Ascension of Jesus Christ long weekend period on 15 May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The toll road, managed by PT Hutama Marga Waskita or Hamawas,\nrecorded a 36.93% increase in traffic compared to normal traffic\nlevels.<\/p>\n<p>The Acting Executive Vice President (EVP) Secretary of PT Hutama\nKarya (Persero), Hamdani, said that during the period of 15 May 2026,\nvehicle traffic on several main sections of the JTTS moved dynamically,\nwith the total cumulative traffic still increasing compared to normal\nconditions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCumulatively, the total daily traffic on the operational toll road\nsections reached 111,072 vehicles, or an increase of 8.41% compared to\nnormal traffic,\u201d said Hamdani in a press release on Saturday\n(15\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>This figure was the highest compared to other sections of the JTTS\nduring the long weekend period.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this section, several other toll road sections also\nrecorded an increase in vehicle traffic.<\/p>\n<p>The Padang\u2013Sicincin toll road experienced the second highest increase\nwith 3,534 vehicles, or an increase of 65.84% compared to normal\ntraffic.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the Pekanbaru\u2013XIII Koto Kampar toll road recorded 6,562\nvehicles, an increase of 32.78%.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Bengkulu\u2013Taba Penanjung toll road recorded 1,857\nvehicles, an increase of 19.73% compared to normal traffic.<\/p>\n<p>The Sigli\u2013Banda Aceh toll road was used by 7,490 vehicles, an\nincrease of 4.10%, while the Indrapura\u2013Kisaran toll road recorded 9,363\nvehicles, an increase of 2.81%.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, several sections experienced a decrease in traffic\ncompared to normal conditions.
