He assured that the government always remains open to\npublic input, including criticism.<\/p>\n<p>\"We are all required to be wiser in conveying opinions and criticism.\nThe government always opens space for the public to express their\nopinions, including criticism,\" Dudung said via a video statement on\nThursday (11\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Dudung argued that criticism is the lifeblood of democracy and must\nbe constructive. He urged the public to understand the difference\nbetween criticism and incitement.<\/p>\n<p>\"Because criticism is the breath of democracy that must build, not\ndestroy. Do not equate criticism with provocation, slander, and sowing\ndiscord that can ruin our brotherhood as a nation,\" he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Dudung reminded the nation that Indonesia was born through a long\nstruggle full of sacrifice. He noted that the country has endured\nvarious historical trials, from rebellions to social conflicts that\nthreatened national unity.<\/p>\n<p>\"This nation was not born from a smooth path. Indonesia grew from a\nlong history, deep wounds, tears, sacrifice, and the blood of the\nnation\u2019s founders,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>He then listed several events that tested the nation\u2019s integrity,\nsuch as the PKI Madiun rebellion, DI\/TII, RMS, the G30S\/PKI, and various\nseparatist movements.
