        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) delegation has\nconfirmed its readiness to take part in a bilateral joint exercise with\nthe Russian Federation Navy (RFN), titled \u201cExercise Orruda 2026\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This readiness was affirmed when KRI I Gusti Ngurah Rai (GNR)-332\narrived in Vladivostok, Russia, on Thursday (23 July).<\/p>\n<p>According to an official press release from the Indonesian Navy\nreceived in Jakarta on Friday, the arrival of KRI GNR-332 was welcomed\ndirectly by the Assistant for Operations to the Chief of Naval Staff,\nRear Admiral TNI Yayan Sofiyan, the Assistant for Intelligence to the\nChief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral TNI Andy Kriswanto, together with the\nRussian Federation Navy.<\/p>\n<p>Yayan said the Indonesian Navy\u2019s participation in the event aims to\nstrengthen military and bilateral relations between Indonesia and\nRussia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe presence of KRI GNR-332 in Vladivostok to take part in Exercise\nOrruda 2026 represents Indonesia\u2019s diplomatic commitment to\nstrengthening its long-standing relationship with Russia,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>The event is also a continuation of joint exercises between the two\ncountries, previously held in Indonesia two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Yayan expressed hope that the exercise would not only deepen ties\nbetween the two nations but also serve as a means of mutually\nstrengthening naval defence capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>For the record, during the joint exercise the Indonesian Navy and the\nRussian Navy will conduct several drills, including Maritime\nInterdiction Operation (MIO), which involves law enforcement and vessel\ninterception at sea; Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) exercises, covering\ntactics and strategies to counter enemy attacks using drone-based\nsystems or unmanned vessels; Search and Rescue (SAR), involving search\nand rescue operations at sea; and finally Medical Evacuation (Medevac),\ncovering emergency medical evacuation procedures.<\/p>",
