        "content": "<p>Yekaterinburg (ANTARA) - Decisions on the formation of new\ninstitutions within BRICS could be taken at upcoming high-level\nmeetings, said Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of Staff at the Russian\nPresidential Executive Office, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe demand for establishing institutions within BRICS is growing,\nparticularly as the organisation expands,\u201d Oreshkin said at an Open\nDialogue event during the International Youth Festival.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am convinced that at one of the upcoming high-level\nmeetings\u2014perhaps in China or at the next gathering\u2014a decision will be\ntaken regarding the establishment of additional institutions,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>Oreshkin noted that the need for new institutions has emerged\nalongside growing economic strength, interstate relations, and the\naccumulation of knowledge and the exchange of best practices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is what will play an important role in the formation of new\ninstitutions, similar for example to the Organisation for Economic\nCo-operation and Development (OECD) in the West. Something similar is\nentirely likely to be established under BRICS in the coming years,\u201d the\nofficial said.<\/p>\n<p>The New Development Bank (NDB) is already operating within BRICS,\nwhile an expansion of its mandate is still under discussion, Oreshkin\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Oreshkin praised the 18th BRICS Summit held in New Delhi as a highly\nsuccessful event, bringing together \u201chalf of global growth\u2026 of the\nentire world economy, half of the population.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The BRICS Summit took place in New Delhi on 12\u201313 September. In the\nsummit declaration, national leaders emphasised the increasingly\nimportant role of the New Development Bank.<\/p>\n<p>BRICS comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt,\nEthiopia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Indonesia.
