        "content": "<p>Kramat Jati Sub-district gathered street vendor (PKL) coordinators\nrepresenting various commodity types, from vegetable to fish sellers,\nwho trade on the road shoulders and pavements along Jalan Raya Bogor,\nKramat Jati.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday a meeting was held with eight trader coordinators from the\nvegetable, fruit, cake and fish sectors,\u201d said Kramat Jati Sub-district\nHead Kamal Alatas in East Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Kamal said the relocation process had been discussed jointly for the\nsake of a more orderly and comfortable area arrangement.<\/p>\n<p>In the discussion, Kamal confirmed that the relocation would not be\ncarried out through a bargaining process with the traders.<\/p>\n<p>His office is seeking to take an approach that still pays attention\nto the conditions and interests of the traders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no bargaining process because here we are humanising the\ntraders,\u201d said Kamal.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Kamal said communication with the trader coordinators\nwould continue to anticipate obstacles in the field.<\/p>\n<p>By the time the meeting was held, the fish traders were said to have\nexpressed their willingness to move.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlhamdulillah, 100 percent are willing to move in order to carry out\nthe reorganisation,\u201d said Kamal.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the East Jakarta City Government emphasised that street\nvendors on the road shoulders and pavements in the Jalan Raya Bogor\narea, Kramat Jati, would no longer be allowed to trade starting from 31\nAugust.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStarting from 31 August 2026, trading activities will no longer be\npermitted on the road shoulders or on the pavements of Jalan Raya Bogor,\nKramat Jati,\u201d said East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin when confirmed in Jakarta\non Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The decision is a follow-up to the instruction of the Governor of DKI\nJakarta to immediately reorganise the Jalan Raya Bogor area, Kramat\nJati, including relocating street vendors who cause congestion and make\nthe area around Kramat Jati look unkempt.<\/p>\n<p>According to Munjirin, the presence of trading activities on road\nshoulders and pavements is one of the problems that needs to be\naddressed immediately.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the meeting discussion, 621 spaces have been prepared to\naccommodate traders according to available data.<\/p>\n<p>The placement of traders will be carried out through a mapping\nprocess based on the type of goods and the suitability of the\nlocation.<\/p>\n<p>The traders will also be given alternative relocation location\noptions that have been prepared by the DKI Jakarta Provincial\nGovernment.<\/p>\n<p>The move also follows a traffic accident that caused the death of a\nstudent, HH (18), on Monday (17\/8).<\/p>\n<p>HH died after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in an\naccident with a dump truck.<\/p>",
