        "content": "<p>Krakatao museum to be moved<\/p>\n<p>BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung: You can&apos;t move a mountain but you<br>\nsure can move the museum of a legendary volcano.<\/p>\n<p>Local authorities have launched a plan to bring the Krakatao<br>\nMuseum over from Carita, on the westernmost coast of Java,<br>\nbecause the site where it is currently located has been acquired<br>\nfor a new hotel project by the Lippo Land business group, Antara<br>\nnews agency reported.<\/p>\n<p>German-born Axel Ridder, who has lived in the area for 24<br>\nyears and helped build the museum, suggested the relocation.<\/p>\n<p>The museum contains relics of the Krakatao volcano that last<br>\nerupted in 1883, killing thousands of people in Java and Sumatra.<br>\nAnak Krakatao (the Child of Krakatao) has since surfaced in the<br>\nSunda Strait near the former volcano.<\/p>\n<p>A seven-person team from Lampung&apos;s education and culture<br>\noffice and tourism office has been formed to prepare for the<br>\nmove.
