KPU website hacked<\/p>\n
INDONESIA: The General Elections Commission (KPU) website fell
\nvictim to hackers on Saturday evening. At 6:40 p.m. the attack
\noccurred and the hackers seemed to have a sarcastic sense of
\nhumor, substituting the names of political parties on the
\ncomputer-based tabulation site with fruits.<\/p>\n
The website, functionion as the main public display for the
\ncomputer-based ballot counting, returned to normal at 10:40 p.m.<\/p>\n
KPU Information Technology (IT) division chairman Akhiar Oemry
\nacknowledged the hacking incident, but assured the public that
\nthe KPU data center and its recovery data center remained safe.<\/p>\n
\"The hackers tried to hack our data center and recovery
\ncenter, which have seven security systems, starting from 6:30
\np.m. But they failed. They only succeeded in hacking our website,
\nwhich is part of the public domain,\" he said.<\/p>\n
He added that the KPU had traced the hackers, but another IT
\ndivision member Basuki Suhardiman told detik.com that the hackers
