JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has\nsummoned Setyowati Anggraini Saputro, the wife of West Java DPRD Deputy\nChairman Ono Surono, as a witness in the alleged bribery case involving\n\u2018ijon\u2019 (kickbacks) for projects that ensnared dismissed Bekasi Regent\nAde Kuswara Kunang.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe examination is being conducted at the KPK Merah Putih Building,\u201d\nsaid KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Tuesday\n(7\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
However, Budi has not yet disclosed the details of the matters to be\nexplored in the examination.<\/p>\n
In this case, the KPK has searched two of Ono Surono\u2019s houses located\nin Bandung and Indramayu, West Java, from Wednesday (1\/4\/2026) to\nThursday (2\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in Indramayu, the KPK seized several documents and\nelectronic evidence items.<\/p>\n
Budi stated that the KPK investigative team was well received by Ono\nSurono\u2019s family and experienced no interference during the searches.<\/p>\n
He said the searches proceeded smoothly, with the family and local\napparatus being cooperative.<\/p>\n
Budi also emphasised that the investigators did not intimidate Ono\nSurono\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere was none. The search activities ran smoothly and well,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
In this case, the KPK designated Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang, HM\nKunang (the regent\u2019s father), and Sarjan as a private individual as\nsuspects on Saturday (21\/12\/2025).<\/p>\n
KPK Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu\nsaid the bribery case began when Ade Kuswara communicated with Sarjan, a\nprivate party providing project packages in the Bekasi Regency\nadministration.<\/p>\n
From that communication, over the past year, Regent Ade routinely\nrequested \u2018ijon\u2019 for project packages from Sarjan through intermediaries\nincluding HM Kunang.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe total \u2018ijon\u2019 given by Sarjan to Regent Ade together with HM\nKunang amounted to Rp9.5 billion. The money was handed over in four\ninstances through intermediaries,\u201d Asep said at a press conference on\nSaturday.<\/p>\n
Thus, the total money received by Regent Ade reached Rp14.2\nbillion.<\/p>\n
For their actions, Regent Ade Kuswara together with HM Kunang as\nrecipients are charged under Article 12a or Article 11 and Article 12B\nof the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 55\nparagraph (1) first of the Criminal Code, as well as Article 5 paragraph\n(1) letters a or b or Article 13 of the Anti-Money Laundering Law in\nconjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) first of the Criminal\nCode.<\/p>\n
