Kudus (ANTARA) \u2014 Indonesia\u2019s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)\nsearched the Kudus Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office\n(KPPBC), a Type Madya office in Central Java, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
According to observations at the scene, a group of KPK officers\narrived at the Kudus Customs Office at around 10 am local time in five\ncars. The group was estimated to number dozens of officers.<\/p>\n
Several officers wearing vests bearing the KPK name on the back were\nseen entering a number of rooms on the premises, including the office of\nthe head of the Type Madya KPPBC Kudus.<\/p>\n
Other officers were seen leaving the head\u2019s office and heading\ntowards the service building next door.<\/p>\n
Services and staff work continued during the operation. A number of\nemployees remained on duty, including attending the congregational\nmidday prayer.<\/p>\n
Several members of the public and businesspeople were also seen at\nthe office handling the collection of cigarette excise stamps.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a number of Kudus Police officers stood guard outside the\nCustoms Office. Police personnel and official vehicles belonging to the\nKudus Police\u2019s Samapta unit were seen in the office courtyard.<\/p>\n
