        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)\nsearched seven locations between 30 July and 1 August 2026 in connection\nwith its investigation into an alleged extortion case implicating\nsuspended Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom 30 July to 1 August 2026, investigators carried out a series of\nsearches at several locations to gather additional evidence required for\nthe investigation into the alleged extortion case in Pemalang Regency,\nCentral Java,\u201d said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in\nJakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Budi said the seven locations comprised an apartment unit in Jakarta,\nthe Pemalang Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, the Pemalang\nRegent\u2019s Office, two houses in Pemalang, a house in Kendal, and a house\nin Purworejo.<\/p>\n<p>From the searches, the KPK seized four motorcycles, one car, cash in\nboth rupiah and foreign currencies, a number of savings books, vehicle\nownership documents as well as land and building titles, several related\ndocuments, electronic evidence, and gold and precious metals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe investigators will subsequently examine all the seized items to\nsupport the handling of this case,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, on 28 July 2026, the KPK conducted its 18th sting\noperation of 2026. One of the 21 people arrested in that operation was\nPemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro.<\/p>\n<p>On 30 July 2026, the KPK announced the results of the sting operation\nand stated that there were two clusters of cases.<\/p>\n<p>First, alleged extortion by Anom Widiyantoro against officials of the\nPemalang Regency Government and private parties. The suspects in this\ncluster are Anom Widiyantoro and his confidant, Mohamad Haris, also\nknown as Gus Haris.<\/p>\n<p>Second, alleged extortion by a police officer and his father against\nAnom Widiyantoro. The suspects in this cluster are Setya Budi Dias, a\npolice officer serving at the KPK, and his father, Lilik Budi\nSuprianto.<\/p>",
