The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said there were no\nobstacles to summoning Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister\nand National Land Agency (ATR\/BPN) head Nusron Wahid for questioning as\na witness in an investigation into a case within the ministry.<\/p>\n
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said investigators were rearranging\nthe examination schedule after Nusron failed to attend twice.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are no obstacles. This is simply a matter of managing the\ncase. We are arranging the timing so that the investigation can proceed\neffectively,\u201d Budi said at the KPK\u2019s Red and White Building on Wednesday\nevening (28 October).<\/p>\n
He said Nusron\u2019s testimony was needed in connection with the case.\nBudi noted that the suspects included people trusted by Nusron as well\nas subordinates at the ministry.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome of those involved, including people he trusted, are suspected\nof being involved in this case and have been named as suspects. A\ndirector-general, one level below the minister, has also been named as a\nsuspect. Three rooms used by the director-general\u2014one level below the\nminister\u2014have been searched,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Budi said the KPK believed Nusron would co-operate and attend if it\nissued another summons.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe KPK believes that, when it summons Mr NW again, he will attend,\nco-operate and provide the information investigators need,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Nusron has failed to attend two KPK summonses. He did not appear for\nthe first, on Wednesday (7 October), citing an internal agenda at the\nATR\/BPN Ministry.<\/p>\n
The KPK rescheduled the examination for Thursday (15 October), but\nNusron again failed to appear because he was travelling overseas. The\nKPK has named eight people as suspects in the case involving the ATR\/BPN\nMinistry.<\/p>\n
They are Sontang Coin Manurung, head of the Bogor Regency Land Office\nI; Golkar Party politician Fahd El Fouz, also known as Fahd A Rafiq;\nformer Kebumen regent Arif Sugiyanto; and PT Summarecon Agung Tbk\npresident director Adrianto Pitojo Adhi.<\/p>\n
The other four suspects are Lampri, director-general of Land and\nSpatial Control and Enforcement at the ATR\/BPN Ministry, and Muhammad\nFakhry, Erwin and Rizal Pahlevi.<\/p>\n
