The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) says procurement of goods\nand services through the online shopping application developed by the\nGovernment Goods\/Services Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP), namely the\ne-Catalogue, needs to be evaluated.<\/p>\n
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo explained that the evaluation is\nnecessary because procurement through the e-Catalogue is believed to\nstill create loopholes for criminal acts, such as in the alleged\ncorruption case involving the suspended Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu\nWibowo.<\/p>\n
\u2018With the e-Catalogue as it currently operates, particularly in\nTulungagung, the parties can still collude, both from the private sector\nand from state officials as users of the procurement,\u2019 he told reporters\nin Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n
He explained that in that case, there were alleged communications\nbetween public officials and private parties to influence the selection\nof the winner of the procurement.<\/p>\n
\u2018In this matter, there were communications outside the system to\nclick on certain companies that would then carry out projects within the\nTulungagung Regency government,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
Therefore, he said, stakeholders need to fix the existing loopholes\nby conducting an evaluation first, such as in terms of regulations and\nthe governance of the system.<\/p>\n
\u2018This is surely a spur to evaluate the governance of procurement of\ngoods and services in Indonesia, given the ongoing scale of corruption\nin the procurement sector with a variety of modus operandi observed on\nthe ground,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
Earlier, the KPK carried out an arrest operation (OTT) in\nTulungagung, East Java on 10 April 2026.<\/p>\n
KPK arrested 18 people in that OTT, including Gatut Sunu Wibowo and\nhis younger brother, who is also a member of Tulungagung\u2019s DPRD, Jatmiko\nDwijo Saputro.<\/p>\n
The day after, on 11 April 2026, the KPK brought Gatut Sunu Wibowo\nand his brother, together with 11 other people, to Jakarta for intensive\nquestioning.<\/p>\n
On the same date, the KPK announced that Gatut Sunu Wibowo (GSW)\nalong with Dwi Yoga Ambal (YOG) as aides were suspects in an alleged\nextortion case and other payments within the Tulungagung Regency\nGovernment for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.<\/p>\n
The KPK suspects that Gatut Sunu extorted regional government\nofficials using the modus of a resignation letter from the post and the\ncivil servant status.<\/p>\n
That letter had already been signed and stamped, but the date had not\nbeen written.<\/p>\n
