The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed the reason\nwhy Special Staff to the Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni, Andi Saiful\nHaq, failed to comply with a summons to appear as a witness in an\nalleged bribery case within the Kuantan Singingi Regency administration\non Friday (21\/8).<\/p>\n
\u201cThere has been a reply letter regarding the summons stating that the\nperson concerned had another activity already scheduled on the date set\nby the investigation team,\u201d said Acting Director of Investigation at the\nKPK Achmad Taufik Husein at the KPK\u2019s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n
Taufik further stated that the rescheduling of Andi\u2019s examination has\nbeen handed over to the KPK investigation team.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, he said that the KPK is currently working to complete the\ncase file.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause the detention period is almost over,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The KPK previously conducted a sting operation in Kuantan Singingi\nRegency and Jakarta on 29 June 2026.<\/p>\n
On 1 July 2026, the KPK named Kuantan Singingi Regent Suhardiman\nAmby, Kuansing Regional Secretary Zulkarnain, and President Director of\nPT Mitra Ideal Consultant Ardiles as suspects in an alleged bribery case\nrelated to the buying and selling of positions within the Kuansing\nRegency administration.<\/p>\n
In addition to the alleged bribery, the KPK is also investigating\nalleged gratuities related to the processing of forest area release\npermits.<\/p>\n
Separately, Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni said that during an\naudience with Suhardiman on 2 June 2026, a sealed envelope was left\nbehind after the meeting.<\/p>\n
Raja Juli said he only became aware of the envelope\u2019s existence after\nSuhardiman had left the room. He then asked his aide-de-camp to return\nthe envelope without knowing its contents.<\/p>\n
The envelope was returned to Suhardiman through Raja Juli\u2019s aide on\n12 June 2026.<\/p>\n
Raja Juli subsequently reported the rejection of the gratuity to the\nKPK on 3 July 2026.<\/p>\n
The KPK did not process the report through the gratuity reporting\nmechanism because the gift reported had become part of a case already\nbeing handled by investigators.<\/p>\n
On 8 July 2026, the KPK seized 12,000 Singapore dollars while\nexamining Kuansing DPRD Speaker Juprizal as a witness.<\/p>\n
