The KPK has examined several organisers of special hajj worship\n(PIHK) or travel agencies in the hajj quota corruption case today,\nincluding Ustaz Khalid Basalamah. The investigative team delved into the\nmatter of fund returns made by the travel agencies to the KPK.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn today\u2019s examination, the witnesses were questioned about the\nreturn of funds by PIHK to the KPK previously,\u201d said KPK spokesperson\nBudi Prasetyo to reporters on Thursday (23\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
Budi stated that the witnesses, including Khalid Basalamah, were also\nprobed regarding the Forum for Rapport among Hajj and Umrah Travel\nAssociations (SATHU).<\/p>\n
\u201cThe examination concerns the SATHU Forum and discussions on\nadditional hajj quotas for 2023-2024,\u201d Budi said.<\/p>\n
This SATHU Forum is known to have taken initiatives related to the\nprocess of arranging hajj quota distribution. This is also what the KPK\nis investigating through the examination of Khalid Basalamah.<\/p>\n
In addition to Khalid, the KPK scheduled examinations today for the\nDirector of PT Kafilah Maghfirah Wisata, Firman M Nur. The KPK also\nscheduled examinations for three other individuals from the Financial\nand Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) of North Sumatra Province,\nnamely PT Chairul Umam Addauli, Director Dahrizal Dahlan; Director of PT\nNadwa Mulia Utama, Zulhendri; and President Director of PT Sriwijaya\nMega Wisata, Salwaty.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn this examination, the investigators are also delving into matters\nrelated to the SATHU Forum. If we look back at the case\u2019s construction,\nparties from the SATHU Forum or this association are suspected of also\ntaking initiatives related to the process of arranging hajj quota\ndistribution,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In this case, the KPK has received money returns from many PIHK.\nHowever, there are still several PIHK that have not returned the\nfunds.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the investigation of the alleged criminal corruption case related\nto hajj quotas, the KPK has not only received returns from Mr KB (Khalid\nBasalamah), but also returns from other PIHK. Although there are still\nseveral other PIHK that have not returned them,\u201d Budi said.<\/p>\n
Ustaz Khalid Claims to Have Returned Rp 8.4 Billion to KPK<\/p>\n
Ustaz Khalid finished being examined by the KPK at 18:35 WIB. He\nclaimed to have returned money to the KPK amounting to Rp 8.4\nbillion.<\/p>\n
Khalid stated that the money was returned from PT Muhibbah, the party\nthat offered hajj departures to Khalid\u2019s travel agency. However, Khalid\nclaimed not to know the origin of the returned money and emphasised that\nhe is a victim in this case.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, we returned it. So, that money wasn\u2019t kept by us. That money\nwas given by Muhibbah, then we don\u2019t know what money it was, the KPK\nasked, we returned it when asked. That\u2019s the extent of it. So, once\nagain, in this case, we are the victims,\u201d Khalid said after being\nexamined on Thursday (23\/4).<\/p>\n
