        "content": "<p>The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently\ninvestigating the giving of an envelope to Forestry Minister Raja Juli\nand its connection to a bribery case involving the release of limited\nproduction forest areas that has ensnared inactive Kuantan Singingi\nRegent Suhardiman Amby. Suhardiman is known to have given the envelope\nto the minister after an audience some time ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, so on the prevention side, the gratification report made by the\nForestry Minister is already case closed. Meanwhile, on the enforcement\nside, the connection will continue to be investigated,\u201d explained KPK\nSpokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK\u2019s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta\non Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Budi explained that in the case ensnaring the inactive Kuansing\nRegent, Suhardiman collected money from various parties, including\nfarmers, and gave the money to the minister. \u201cSo, this is certainly\nbeing investigated regarding the intent, purpose, whose initiative it\nwas, and what the motive was,\u201d said Budi.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, the KPK has not yet summoned Forestry Minister Raja\nJuli to provide testimony in the investigation of the case. \u201cWe will\ncontinue to update because the investigation is still progressing,\u201d Budi\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>From the KPK\u2019s sting operation in Kuantan Singingi Regency and\nJakarta on 29 June 2026, ten people were arrested. Then, on 30 June\n2026, Kuansing Regent Suhardiman Amby and Kuansing Regional Secretary\nZulkarnain surrendered themselves to the KPK. On 1 July 2026, the KPK\nnamed Suhardiman Amby, Zulkarnain, and the President Director of PT\nMitra Ideal Consultant, Ardiles, as suspects for alleged bribery related\nto the buying and selling of positions within the Kuansing Regency\nGovernment during 2021-2026. The KPK also suspects Suhardiman of\nreceiving gratuities related to the processing of the release of limited\nproduction forest areas. On 3 July 2026, the Forestry Minister reported\nthe envelope left by Suhardiman to the KPK. According to a statement\nfrom the minister, he only realised the envelope was there after\nSuhardiman had left the room. He then asked his aide to return it.<\/p>",
