JAKARTA, KOMPAS.COM - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)
conducted coordination with the National Police’s Corruption Crimes Task
Force (Kortas Tipikor) to discuss several cases currently being handled.
“That is certainly coordination related to case handling. Because
corruption crimes cannot be handled by just one institution alone,” said
KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu, after a
meeting with the Kortas Tipikor Polri leadership at the Bareskrim Polri
Building, Thursday (2/4/2026). According to him, handling corruption
cases requires collaboration between the KPK, Polri, the Prosecutor’s
Office, and support from various other stakeholders. There are several
cases discussed between the KPK and Kortas Tipikor Polri, but those
cases are still confidential and cannot yet be disclosed to the public.
“There are several cases that we are communicating about, but because
this is still in the early stage, we cannot convey it now,” he said. “Of
course, we from the KPK, Polri, the prosecutor’s office, and supported
by other stakeholders, together handle corruption crimes. So, this is in
the framework of coordination and communication,” Asep explained. He
stated that the meeting was held to increase coordination and synergy
between Polri’s Kortas Tipikor and the KPK regarding several ongoing
case handlings.
",
