        "content": "<p>KPK may question Bagir at his office<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: After failing to summon Chief Justice Bagir Manan for<br>\na questioning in connection with a bribery case involving<br>\nbusinessman Probosutedjo on Monday, the Corruption Eradication<br>\nCommission (KPK) is considering conducting the questioning at his<br>\noffice.<\/p>\n<p>\"We will take into consideration his position as the Chief<br>\nJustice,\" said KPK Chairman Taufikurrahman Ruki after a meeting<br>\non rehabilitation and reconciliation at the presidential office<br>\non Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>KPK will send a second summons and a third if required for<br>\nBagir in accordance with the Criminal Law Procedures Code<br>\n(KUHAP), Taufikurrahman said. KUHAP allows law enforcers to use<br>\nforce if the third summons is ignored.<\/p>\n<p>Graft convict Probosutedjo has confessed to having disbursed a<br>\ntotal of Rp 16 billion (US$1.6 million) in bribes, Rp 6 billion<br>\nof which was given to a Bagir-led panel of justices who heard the<br>\nbusinessman's appeal case. -- JP<\/p>",
