The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the\ngiving of money by the Kuantan Singingi Regency Government to the\nForestry Ministry, and the return of the money from the Forestry\nMinistry to the Kuantan Singingi Regency Government.<\/p>\n
\u201cInvestigators are looking into the alleged giving of a sum of money\nto the Forestry Ministry, and its return,\u201d KPK Spokesperson Budi\nPrasetyo told journalists in Jakarta on Saturday.<\/p>\n
According to Budi, the investigation was carried out by KPK\ninvestigators by examining four witnesses on 14 August 2026.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, he said the Head of the Pekanbaru Branch at PT Clipan\nFinance Indonesia, with the initials PTU, did not comply with the KPK\u2019s\nsummons for examination on that date.<\/p>\n
\u201cWitness PTU was not present at this examination. Investigators will\nreschedule,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Previously, the KPK conducted a sting operation in Kuantan Singingi\nRegency and Jakarta on 29 June 2026.<\/p>\n
On 1 July 2026, the KPK named Kuantan Singingi Regent Suhardiman\nAmby, Kuantan Singingi Regional Secretary Zulkarnain, and President\nDirector of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant Ardiles as suspects in an alleged\nbribery case related to the sale and purchase of positions within the\nKuantan Singingi Regency Government.<\/p>\n
In addition to the alleged bribery, the KPK is investigating alleged\ngratification related to the processing of forest area release.<\/p>\n
Afterwards, Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni explained that when he\nreceived Suhardiman for an audience on 2 June 2026, a sealed envelope\nwas left behind after the meeting.<\/p>\n
According to Raja Juli, he only became aware of the envelope\u2019s\nexistence after Suhardiman had left the room. He then ordered his aide\nto return it without knowing the contents of the envelope.<\/p>\n
The envelope was returned to Suhardiman through Raja Juli\u2019s aide on\n12 June 2026.<\/p>\n
The KPK subsequently did not process the gratification report through\nthe gratification reporting mechanism because the reported gift had\nbecome part of a case being handled by investigators.<\/p>\n
On 8 July 2026, the KPK seized SGD 12,000 while examining Juprizal as\na witness.<\/p>\n
