"summary": "Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is probing the flow of illicit funds in a corruption case involving Fadia Arafiq, the former Regent of Pekalongan, who allegedly directed local government entities to award outsourcing contracts to her family's company, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya, yielding Rp 46 billion from 2023 to 2026. The funds were distributed among Fadia (Rp 5.5 billion), her husband Ashraff (Rp 1.1 billion), their children, and others, with KPK examining witnesses like businessman Ryan Savero and Ashraff to uncover the purpose of these payments. Fadia has been named a suspect, detained, and charged under anti-corruption laws, with KPK seizing several luxury vehicles linked to the graft; this case underscores ongoing efforts to combat public procurement corruption at the local level.",
