The Corruption Eradancy Commission (KPK) has revealed that seven\nwitnesses, including vice-rectors, professors, and lecturers from\nJenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed), attended interrogations on\nTuesday, 15 September 2026. The examinations were conducted at the\nBanyumas Regional Police Headquarters, Central Java.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll summoned witnesses attended and provided the information\nrequired by investigators,\u201d stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the\nMerah Putih Building in Jakarta on Wednesday (16\/9).<\/p>\n
The witnesses include the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs (Warek I),\nNoor Farid; the Vice-Rector for General Affairs and Finance (Warek II),\nKuat Puji Prayitno; the Vice-Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and\nPublic Relations (Warek IV), Waluyo Handoko; and Professor of\nCommunication Philosophy at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences\n(FISIP), Nana Sutikna. Also interrogated were lecturers from the Faculty\nof Animal Husbandry, Mochamad Sugiyarto; the Faculty of Law, Weda\nKupita; and the Faculty of Medicine, Untung Gunarto.<\/p>\n
Budi explained that the interrogations are intended to deepen the\nfindings from a series of previous searches. \u201cThis is to confirm and\nobtain a complete account of the process and mechanism of new student\nadmissions, particularly through the independent track, including\nallegations regarding \u2018reserved\u2019 placements,\u201d said Budi.<\/p>\n
He added that the process also aims to verify documents and\nElectronic Evidence (BBE) obtained during the search operations. On 9-10\nSeptember, the KPK conducted searches across six locations, targeting\nthe residences of Vice-Rectors I, II, and IV; the home of a lecturer;\nthe office of the Banyumas Regional Secretary; and the home of a high\nschool teacher in Tasikmalaya, who is suspected of acting as a\ncoordinator for collecting prospective students.<\/p>\n
The search of the Banyumas Regional Secretary\u2019s office was conducted\nbecause the individual is suspected of knowing about recommendations\nprovided to ensure students who paid certain sums were admitted to\nUnsoed. \u201cInvestigators found several documents and Electronic Evidence\n(BBE), including those related to the placement of prospective students\nat Unsoed,\u201d Budi stated on Friday (11\/9).<\/p>\n
Previously, on 23 and 24 August 2026, the KPK searched six houses\nbelonging to suspects as well as the Unsoed rectorate building. From the\nrectorate office, investigators discovered a 2023 KPK Circular Letter\n(SE) regarding recommendations for improving the independent student\nadmission process. This circular included a warning from the KPK to\nincrease transparency regarding admission quotas and passing\ncriteria.<\/p>\n
The KPK has named a total of six suspects in this case involving\nalleged extortion and gratification related to student admissions at\nUnsoed. The suspects include the Rector of Unsoed, Akhmad Sodiq;\nVice-Rector III of Unsoed, Norman Arie Prayoga; the Head of Academic\nAffairs at Unsoed, Eko Sumanto; and three private individuals identified\nas Dian Mulia Wardhana, Adhi Wiharto, and Mulyono.<\/p>\n
This legal action follows a sting operation (OTT) in Purwokerto and\nJakarta, as well as intensive investigations by the KPK since Thursday\n(20\/8).
