Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has\nhanded over two land plots worth Rp2.04 billion to the Gianyar Regency\nGovernment (Pemkab), Bali.<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on the appraisal by the Denpasar State Wealth and Auction\nService Office, the fair value of the two assets amounts to\napproximately Rp2.04 billion. These assets were confiscated for the\nstate and subsequently transferred to the Gianyar Regency Government,\u201d\nsaid KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on\nMonday.<\/p>\n
Budi explained that the two land plots, each measuring 825 square\nmetres and located in Pering Village, Blahbatuh Subdistrict, Gianyar,\nwere handed over by the KPK as they are state-confiscated assets in a\ncase that has attained final and binding legal force.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe KPK is executing the confiscation of state assets based on the\nSupreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia\u2019s decision Number 8388\nK\/Pid.Sus\/2025, joined with decisions from the DKI Jakarta High Court\nand the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court, in the\ncase involving defendants Tommy Adrian and Rudy Hartono Iskandar,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, he stated that the handover of these assets is part of\nefforts to optimise the utilisation of state-confiscated assets so that\nthey can provide tangible benefits to the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe KPK encourages that confiscated assets should not only serve as\na symbol of law enforcement but also be utilised to support regional\ndevelopment and public interests,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Moreover, he noted that the recovery of state assets is one of the\nkey focuses in anti-corruption efforts, as it not only deters\nperpetrators but also concretely restores state losses.<\/p>\n
Therefore, he said the KPK remains committed to ensuring that every\ncourt decision with final and binding legal force is implemented\noptimally, including in the aspect of state asset recovery.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, he said the KPK appreciates the cooperation from\nthe Gianyar Regency Government in the process of receiving and managing\nthese assets.<\/p>\n
